New version of SpendCatcher 4.4.2 is now live on Google Play Store and iOS App Store If it is not immediately visible in your region's store, be aware the Apple and Google are making these available in waves so try again in a few hours.
Version 4.4.2 was pushed in the stores review processes and will be released publicly as soon as this review is completed (probably during the weekend, at the latest on Monday morning)
SpendCatcher version 4.4.2 will remove the issue and has now been passed to Apple and Google in order to make them available for download. We expect that Apple and Google might make the app available before the end of the week.
We have found an additional solution to stabilise the application which requires an update of the application. This is currently undergoing our internal quality checks. We are now completely positive that uninstalling and re-installing the application(or, on Android, clearing the cache) solves the issue.
We believe to have identified the root cause of the issue - an internal certificate which expired on December 29th and had already been replaced in November might not be activating correctly on some devices. More tests are being performed as we are following this assumption. Uninstalling the SpendCatcher application and re-installing it should solve the issue.
We have started receiving reports that the SpendCatcher application is, for some users, freezing and crashing. We are currently not able to replicate the issue but we continue to investigate.
